We own an online store, From the Heart Gifts, where we specializes in monogramming, appliques, and custom created vinyl crafts that make the perfect gift for any occasion. I’ve been asked many times about where to purchase vinyl. There are a ton of online stores that you can purchase your vinyl from, but it is often expensive and you have to pay to have it shipped to you. You also may get stuck purchasing a bulk amount of a certain color when you only need a small amount for your project. I have been purchasing my vinyl from a local sign shop. They keep their vinyl scraps and toss them in a box for people just like me who want the leftovers. I usually get a large box of various colors and sizes for around $20. If the color that I need is not in the box of leftovers, they will cut what I want off of their roll for a small fee. This is a great way to get cheap, high quality vinyl for a fraction of the price while building a relationship with someone in your community at the same time. So next time you need vinyl go by and check out your local sign shop and see what they have lying around!

I wanted to start off by reviewing the Sure Cuts A Lot 2 software program offered by Craft Edge. “Sure Cuts A Lot” is an easy to use software to cut your True Type fonts, SVG files, images, and various shapes on your Cricut^TM Machine. It is available for Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
